Watts 0121227 Lead Free Water Hammer Arrestor 1/2" LF150A

The Watts 0121227 (LF150A) is a Lead-Free Water Hammer Arrestor for quick-closing faucets and appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers.  It features an air-tight sealing cap, sealed-in diaphragm, and stainless steel top and chamber.   The arrestor is pre-charged with air and easily rechargeable by its standard tire valve connection The water hammer arrestor functions are to control the water pressure entering your appliances and to smoothen water flow output on quick-closing faucets.  The water pressure and air pressure are balanced when the water is being used.  In times of quick shut-off, water pressure increases then the shock is absorbed by the diaphragm.  Afterward, a sudden pressure drop will happen to cause the diaphragm to flex and after few seconds it goes back to the normal stage.
